An opportunity has arisen for either a candidate with a background in selling food / ingredients to retail / manufacturers or with an academic background in Food Technology to join one of the leading suppliers of food ingredients.

Our specialist Food Ingredients division is part of a global organisation servicing multiply industry sectors from a global operational platform spanning over 100 countries.
For more than 30 years we have distributed over 2000 high quality ingredients including modified and native starches, enzymes, acidulants, colourings, preservatives, hydrocolloids and dairy proteins. We also help clients modify, enhance and tailor all aspects of food production and innovation be it taste, texture, mouth feel, shelf life or just plain and simple appeal.
The opportunity:
Centred at our Milton Keynes site, we are a leading supplier of ingredients to the food manufacturing sector and enjoy a strong reputation within this consumer driven market for technical innovation and a broad portfolio of commodity and specialty food ingredients.
In order to accelerate the growth of our business an opportunity has arisen for a Field Account Manager within our sales function who will focus on developing profitable business opportunities through promoting our specialty portfolio to new product development teams within our customers technical function. This is a full time role, reporting to the Technical Manager and is field based, although on a regular basis you will be required to work from our Milton Keynes sales office.
Key tasks include:
> Manage performance versus sales targets & KPI’s
> Create profitable business opportunities
> Activity management
> Marketing campaigns
> Salesforce (CRM sales tool) update and maintenance
You will be required to liaise with:
> External and internal customers
> Sales Team
> Supplier & Product Management
What are we looking for?
> Experience in Food Technology is desirable
> Experience of selling within the food industry is desirable
> You may have an academic background in Food Technology and be keen to develop a Sales Account Management career within a global brand
> Excellent oral and written communication skills
> Highly developed interpersonal skills
> Commercial acumen
> Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet business objectives
> Enthusiastic team player, determined, results focused and self-motivated
