Account Manager/Telesales position

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to help grow and develop key accounts within the energy sector. My client is looking for someone who has experience within sales and has a passion to work in this industry.  

The role entails to sell business to business to resellers of boilers, associated equipment and heating solutions; working to clear sales objectives and delivering excellent customer service at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

• Using a network of industry contacts to generate new business
• Appointing, managing and supporting resellers
• Leading project management activity
• To progress sales leads through to successful order placing
• To adhere to Key Performance Indicators
• Deliver client expectations within strict deadlines (facilitating quotes, excellent customer service)
• Building a 'territory'
• Achieving sales targets
• Assisting at the warehouse as and when necessary
• Delivering sales presentations to high-level executives
• Attending client meetings
• Implementing processes for sales activities that will be reported monthly to MD
• Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients
• Actively and positively contribute to the appraisal process and follow up agreed actions
• Completing administrative work, as required
• Undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job
• Designing and selling heating systems

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience within sales in the energy sector
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Proven successful sales track record
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Good 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and clients
• The ability to lead and motivate a team
• An ability to work under pressure
• A professional manner
• Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets

Desirable:

• Technical knowledge of the various energy systems
• Experienced in running a “cold” sales territory
