Description		Senior Care Assistant Buckinghamshire �7.09 per hour (basic) Or �7.20 per hour (basic) if hold NVQ in Care Enhancements also paid, e.g. for Sundays and nights worked Days: 38 hours per week Our aim is to make sure the people we support in our care homes can live full lives with dignity and comfort in their later years. That means we need people like you to offer as much as you can in terms of patience, time and empathy. To provide physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible. To ensure that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with the Care Standards Act 2000 and Heritage Care policies and procedures and if appropriate, to act as the Designated Responsible Person (DRP) in charge of the scheme on a shift basis. Applicants must be able to demonstrate: - � Patience, tact and sensitivity � Good verbal and written communication skills � An awareness of the needs of older people � A commitment to undertake appropriate training to equip the post holder with the required skills, knowledge and competency necessary to successfully meet the needs of the DRP e.g. medication training. It is desirable for the applicant to have attained or be studying for NVQ in Care Level 2/3. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding and awareness of Equal Opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
