You will:

• Manage budget, operations, and staff for the site Library, Information Services, & Competitive Intelligence (LIS & CI)
• Develop a highly effective working relationship with research and development teams to understand and anticipate their scientific information and competitive intelligence needs and then meet those needs
• Oversee an electronic resources portfolio including evaluation, licensing, training, and promotion of information products; communicating the value of information services, products and policies to all levels of the organization; potentially playing a global role in the provision of information services and competitive intelligence to R&D and participating on global information project teams.

The successful candidate will have experience in:

• Provision of competitive intelligence or analytical information services related to a pharmaceutical and/or biotech corporate environment
• Successful negotiation of information contracts; implementation of an information product or service
• In-depth knowledge of science, healthcare, and business electronic resources; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated teamwork across functional areas
• Knowledge of the product development process and biotech/pharmaceutical industry
• Qualifications: BSc in Science or a relevant Information Studies degree.
