Description		Chemical Sciences - Laboratory Technician To work in a chemical laboratory providing analytical services whilst contributing to the continual improvement in service delivery within the laboratory Key accountabilities �To undertake chemical analyses on samples associated with the material certification programmes �To undertake chemical analyses on samples associated with the environmental analysis programmes Responsibilities �To support continuous improvement by working with Integrated Solutions led development projects �To maintain a high level of housekeeping within the laboratory �To operate within the company standards relating to Security, Quality, Environment, Safety and Health Qualifications �GCSE or equivalent passes in Maths, English and Science (at grade C or above) �Preferred � BTech, National Diploma in Science or A level equivalents in science based subjects Knowledge �Safe practices in a laboratory environment �Quality systems Experience �Working with chemicals �Preferred � practical experience in a laboratory environment Skills �Operating analytical equipment �Willing to co-operate and work within a team environment �Numerate �IT literate Behaviours �The ability to work harmoniously in delivering common goals �Flexibility in work patterns to meet demands of analytical programmes �Willing to work with chemicals including Isocyanates �Willing to work in Radiation controlled areas Special Requirements �Willing to work on call if required PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION IS IN A UK DEFENCE COMPANY, THEREFORE ALL SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL UNDERGO STRICT SECURITY CHECKS
