Description		The successful candidate will be involved in a range of projects. They will be expected to provide expert geoscientific input into a range of exciting high profile contaminated land and assessment projects in the UK. This will involve spending some time working at sites around the United Kingdom The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary environment on a range of technically challenging problems, and will possess the following aptitudes: � They will have demonstrable experience of working on contaminated land issues, and in project management � Are able to take a technical lead � Excellence in project delivery (both technically and commercially); � Excellent written and verbal communication skills; � The ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams. � Capable of dealing with real problems in a practical manner. � An enthusiasm for interacting with customers and for solving their problems. Previous Knowledge A successful candidate will have a higher degree (ideally a PhD or equivalent) in a relevant geoscientific discipline (geology, hydrogeology, engineering geology, geochemistry, �). The successful candidate should have an expert knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Site investigations, hydrogeology, contaminated land, radiation, and risk assessment. Relevant work knowledge in consultancy after leaving university is essential.
