You will provide functional business expertise to UK Medical Affairs leadership and ensure the compliant and efficient operations of the Medical Affairs Department in the UK and to support operationally other UK departments with respect to ABPI Code Compliance.

You will:

• Manage the ongoing maintenance of country post-marketing trial information for the UK, including the monthly and quarterly consolidation of trial information and financial information
• Support the training and implementation of the Medical Planning process across the UK, including the alignment with the Brand Planning and Budgeting processes
• Support the Planning & Budgeting process across the UK, including the consolidation of information in the medical affairs Department and the planning and facilitation of regional integration and strategy meetings
• Work with the EMEA Lead on the co-ordination of the integration with Global Clinical
• Partner with Finance to design a process/capability to accurately budget, track and define projections for clinical trial payments across the UK
• Work with corporate, regional, business and R&D compliance groups to maintain or develop key Medical SOPs based on industry and best practices and aligned with SOPs
• Support policy implementation at regional and local levels and ensure application of policies and standards related to the conduct of medical research and medical affairs activities in the UK
• Interface with Business Compliance, Global Development, Risk and Quality and Training groups to develop and support global SOP related communications and trainings within the UK
• Provide medical affairs input into bioethical standards and corporate compliance regional plans
• Interface with regional/local organizations and quality managers to collect and maintain critical compliance data, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
• Provide support for compliance audits as necessary
• Incorporate electronic systems into UK compliance working practices to ensure the optimum balance of documentation and assurance of compliance
• Supply the Secretariat Service to the Compliance Forum
• Provide the oversight to ABPI Code of Practice training for the UK.

• A wealth of Pharmaceutical Industry experience is essential, with most of this experience to be in Medical Affairs and Clinical Research
• People management experience desirable
• Graduate, preferably with PhD or Healthcare Professional Qualification.
