Synthetic Organic Chemist. Synthetic Organic Chemist educated to PhD or with equivalent research experience in Chemistry.

The successful candidate will join our clients Chemistry R&D Team. To join a leader in the development of high technology used in home entertainment, lighting and mobile handsets.

Responsibilities:

· Design and prepare new conjugated monomers and polymers to high standards
· Perform synthetic organic chemistry transformations

Requirements:

· PhD or with equivalent research experience in Chemistry
· Knowledge of a wide variety of chemical transformations
· Practical synthetic laboratory experience including, small and large laboratory scale, preparation of laboratory forms, reports and Intellectual Property filings.
· Ability to write, initiate and follow procedures and protocols
· Experience of performing safety, COSHH and risk assessments of chemical processes
