THE ROLE
A unique opportunity has arisen with a medium-large sized Elderly Nursing Home located in Aylestone, on the outskirts of Leicester. Our client is seeking to recruit a Registered Nurse who has extensive leadership and management skills.

Our client is a dual registered residential and nursing home caring for elderly residents who suffer with alzheimer's, dementia, learning disability, mental disorder and physical disability.

THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the effective running and development of this residential care home.

This particular position would suit a Deputy who is seeking to progress their career further by stepping up to a Home Manager level. With a minimum of 1 years experience as a Deputy or Manager, you would have already gained exposure to and have a proven track record in the smooth running of an elderly care home.

Overseeing the running of this home, your responsibilities will include:

-Ensuring that the well being of the residents is maintained
-Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home
-Carrying out staff supervisions and appraisals
-Assisting with recruitment, appointment and deployment of care, catering and domestic staff
-Carrying out detailed assessments prior to admission
-Preparing care plans and ensuring each service user receives care appropriate to their individual need
-Monitoring and controlling day-to-day expenditure
-Preparing budgets
-Monitoring business performance
-Developing clear policies and practices regarding quality standards
-Building effective working relationships with residents, their families, staff and other professionals.

We are eager to hear from experienced candidates who can demonstrate a passionate desire to deliver high quality care to vulnerable elderly residents.

It is essential that candidates will have completed and achieved a Leadership and Management Award and have good understanding and knowledge of Care Quality Commission regulations.

As a Registered Nurse, you will work in accordance with the Codes of Professional Conduct as issued by the NMC.

Candidates applying should be fluent in English and have authorisation to work in the EEC.
