Head of Care – Residential Care Home – Sudbury, Suffolk – Attractive salary and benefits

CLIENT – Well established care organization that aim to provide a safe and homely environment where the unique needs of individuals are recognized and skilled staff are available. To ensure this they offer training and development for all staff to ensure that service standards are achieved.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you will be responsibilities will include:

- To set and maintain the highest standard of care in the clinical area.
- To act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the home.
- To supervise staff within the home.
- To promote the clients Philosophy of Care and ways of working.
- Provide day-to-day high quality support and guidance to all staff within the care team
- Ensure that the relevant regulatory frameworks are reflected in the service delivery e.g. NMS, NSF and that all activities are carried out in accordance with the clients policies, procedures and practices.
- Play a key role in the successful development of the service- participating in the key decisions which impact directly on the care service.
- Ensure that all resources are utilised effectively in a way that best meets the needs of the service and the established budget.
- Ensure that relevant professional bodies guidance on record keeping is upheld- e.g. NMC
- Be responsible for the implementation of a clinical supervision programme in the
team-ensuring that all staff receive supervision no less than six times a year.
- In the absence of the Manager to inform the registered homeowners of any deficiencies or incidents.
- To be involved in the recruitment and appointment of appropriate staff.

•10 – Registered General Nurse
•10 – Strong leadership/team skills
•9 – Previous working experience within a similar care environment
•9 – Strong knowledge of care plans and the care commission
•9 – Experience of working with elderly
•9 - To be person-centered
•9 - Good interpersonal skills
•9 - oral/written communication skills
•9 – Solid administrative skills
•9 – Awareness of current Health and Safety Procedures
•8 – Flexible with regards to working shift patterns
•8 - Demonstrate commitment to the values of the company
