Analytical Scientists - Biotechnology - Liverpool. My client is currently seeking to recruit a number of Analytical Scientists to work with them at their site in Liverpool on a permanent basis.

The Analytical Scientist will be responsible for developing, optimising and qualifying techniques required for the analysis of GMP biopharmaceutical products. The duties of the Analytical Scientist will include applying and developing methodologies for the characterisation and in-process/QC batch release and stability testing of a wide range of potential biopharmaceutical products and develop and apply techniques such as HPLC, electrophoresis, spectroscopy and ELISA.

The ideal candidate for the role will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a life science subject and have experience working within an analytical/QC laboratory for the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry. A working knowledge of analytical techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, HPLC, ELISA and QPCRas well as the ability to design and execute experiments is also required. Expereince of analysis of in-process/final product samples under development and QC conditions, analysis of viruses or antibodies, writing test methods and reports and performing equipment qualification is desirable.
