We are seeking an experienced Clinical Project Manager to conceive and manage phase 1 studies within the Translational Sciences group of a global pharmaceutical company:

The Company
This role is with a global leading pharmaceutical company working within their worldwide Translational Sciences group. The company is developing drugs for multiple therapeutic areas and enjoys a healthy and well funded development pipeline.

The Role
The overall purpose of this role is the implementation and management of internationally based phase 1 clinical trials. These will be medium to high complexity studies; first in man studies, patient studies, multi-center studies and mechanistic studies. The role will involve the project management of the set up and running phases of each of the studies taking them through to successful close out. The position will report to a Clinical Trial Leader who will be responsible for the higher level and less operational aspects of the trials.

As the trials will be run on an international basis there will be the need to travel when required. Our client is looking to make a 12 month contractual commitment and will be looking for the same commitment in return. There is expected to be the opportunity for future contract extensions and possible permanent employment options.

Experience
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Project Manager who has specific expertise in the setting up and running of phase 1 clinical trials. Your experience should include working within an international team where you have been responsible for operational aspects of studies through to close out. Your background should include working in a pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO environment.
