Senior Medical Advisor to join a global pharmaceutical company. As Senior Medical Advisor you will be offered a salary of c£75k + pension+ healthcare + life assurance.

JOB FUNCTION:
To provide medical and scientific support for the marketing and sales of relevant therapeutic unit products by:

" Provision of expert medical and scientific advice on these products and related disease areas
" Contact with opinion leaders and other health professional in the relevant therapeutic area
" Medical and scientific input into marketing and sales strategy for these products

To be an expert on the ABPI Code of Practice to ensure and monitor company compliance with codes/practices

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
" Provide expert medical and scientific input to enhance the promotional strategy of relevant products and to ensure that sales representatives receive appropriate technical information
" Approve and supervise medical projects including clinical trials
" Ensuring accuracy of promotional material
" Monitor and advise on all activities that fall under the ABPI Code of Practice to ensure compliance
" Establish and maintain an opinion leader network of contacts in relevant therapeutic areas
" Ensuring updated status of medical information
" Provide expert medical and scientific input into the regulatory affairs function
" Investigate any potential breaches of ABPI regulations
" Conduct and supervise regular UK compliance audits

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
" The jobholder should be medically qualified and have practised medicine for a minimum of two years
" Previous pharmaceutical experience in Medical Affairs is essential
" Thorough knowledge of ABPI and Code of Practice
" A high standard of verbal and written communication skills
