Description		Role: Production Technician x 2 Salary: �17,500 Location: Bedford A lead systems integrator and advanced technology company is looking for two Production Technicians to join the Manufacturing Business Sector as part of a multidisciplinary Team to deliver the production phase of a major integration programme. The Production Technician shall undertake the fitting and wiring of Communications, Information Systems and Power Equipment as installations or sub-assemblies into Military and Commercial Platforms (Vehicles and/or Containers). Responsibilities for this role will include: �Installation and removal of Communications and Information Systems Equipment and Associated Hardware into and from Military and Commercial Vehicles, Cabins and Shelters �Electrical Wiring of assemblies by point-to-point wiring or cable harness by using crimping tools and soldering irons �Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Assemblies associated with Communications and Information Systems Equipment �Competent in the use of wiring schedules, assembly/engineering drawings and Engineering Instructions �Undertaking of duties in accordance with the Business Area, Sector and Company Processes �Maintenance of a tidy, safe and workman like area with compliance to the health an safety at work act For this role the successful applicant will require experience in an Engineering or Defence related Manufacturing Industry. You will be fully conversant with the IEE Wiring regulations Sixteenth Edition and be able to read/understand engineering drawings and specifications. You will have good written and verbal communication skills, be a self-motivated team player and be flexible and adaptable. Appropriate experience within the Installation of Military/Commercial Platforms (Vehicles and/or Containerised Systems) would be of benefit to you.
