Description Role: IT Networks Solutions Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 region
Location: Hertfordshire

A leading defence organisation is looking for an IT Networks Solutions Manager to manage Network Design / Architecture and strategy across the organisation to meet business and customer service demands.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

· provide technical support in relation to network services and to lead in Identifying current / future network technologies to meet requirements generated from the business.
· To be the design authority with suppliers on the following services: - WAN / LAN / Voice / Security Barriers / Network Interfaces / Topologies / Protocals
· To identify and define solutions relating to the development and improvement of the service by producing recommendations, business cases, and identifying budgets
· Manage 3rd Party suppliers/vendors and outsource providers in identifying appropriate technologies to support the company’s strategy
· Manage relationships and liaise with company counterparts across UK IT Domains (FO/BO/IS)
· Research, define and deliver policies and procedures as applicable to new networking technologies
· Provide annual technology forecast to support the 5 Year capital plans to the agreed finance cost models and timetable.
· Report into Head of Networks regarding future technologies with monthly Solution reviews.
· Maintain and build on international relationships within an integrated support model (UK/International)

For this role the successful candidate will require a Background in solution management shown by, Experience of complex network environments including National and International solutions, Medium to Large Project deployments, developments in multi layered complex organisations and the ability to explain IT environments encompassing Client, Server, Applications and Support. (End to end solutions)

You will have experience of and can explain IT outsourcing methodologies and communication infrastructures including security solutions and services and have experience of liaising and negotiating with 3rd party suppliers. You will be Qualified in CISCO design and planning and have experience of linking multiple networks with standard Interfaces and security interfaces and managing the relationships within network environments.
