Description		Role: Sub Station Electrician Location: Crewe Apply to: s.bailey@jamjobs.co.uk A blue chip company are looking for a Sub Station Electrician whose principle duties include, break down cover, planned and site maintenance of electrical distribution system and substations, with further responsibilities for the support of the site electrical infrastructure and production areas, including presses and hazardous areas where explosion protection (EX) equipment is installed. Key responsibility areas: � Working on a rotating shift and providing cover every third weekend essential job functions will be break down cover, planned and site maintenance of electrical distribution system and substations. � This will include switching and maintenance of 11KV oil and vacuum circuit breakers, 415V air break circuit breakers, current and voltage transformers, power transformers, capacitor banks, batteries, kilowatt hour meters and relays. � Other functions will include break down cover, maintenance and installation work in zoned areas of the factory on flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical hardware, working with PLC controlled machines that are hydraulically/pneumatically functioned and driven by inverter units. Desirables � Time served electrical apprenticeship followed by experience within industry and a number of the following qualifications or have proven exemption from: � C&G 6037 High voltage operations course � City & Guilds 2381 BS7671 Requirements for electrical installations � City & Guilds 2391 Certification in inspection, testing and certificating electrical installations � COMP EX modules 01, 02, 03, 04, 09, 10 installation and certification of explosion proof equipment This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leader which values its employees and offers excellent career progression potential and will invest heavily in your own personal development!
