Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Somerset / South West
Salary: £55k-£75 + Benefits
Enterprise Architect required for major UK Company providing information systems to defence and national security customer’s worldwide working within deployable communications infrastructure and information security assurance.
The role:
To propose and elaborate enterprise architecture solutions on military and commercial information systems development programmes
You will be responsible for the development of enterprise wide, distributed information systems solutions or prime systems integrator for military and emergency services customers.
Responsibilities: User requirements elicitation and analysis through Use Cases, development of Concepts of Use, and through user negotiation in large scale, distributed information systems.
Technical requirements analysis and expansion, including modelling the resultant processes, architectures and components on OMT/UML
Formulation of system architectures, evaluation of alternatives, and down-selection
Skills required:
Significant experience of requirements analysis and solution within a recognised process framework (e.g. CMMI, RUP) over several product lifecycles
Experience of implementing open, service-oriented solutions on commercial EA platforms (Oracle BPE, Weblogic, MS BizTalk)
Experience of analysing data distribution and storage requirements and formulating data architecture solutions
Detailed understanding of the requirements management and decomposition process including the management of subcontract product and service suppliers.
Detailed technical knowledge of commercial IT capability, products and services (e.g. storage arrays, WAN, LAN, applications) necessary to deliver information systems solutions with high service availability.
Expert in use of architecture modelling frameworks (e.g. DoDAF, Zachman) using current tools (Artisan, System Architect, NetViz, DOORS, Windchill)
Use of PC based office tools (MS Office, Project, Visio)
