Our client is a Consultancy providing Systems Engineering Services, Technology Services and Human services across Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Local Government, National Government, MOD and Private industry.
Bid Manager - Bid Strategy, Bid Development, Bid Process Management, Defence Bids.
The Bid Manager will be responsible for leading the production of major Defence bids.
Responsibilities will include Bid Strategy Development, Bid Team and bid process management, Bid documentation design and compilation of the bid, bid review and negotiations.
The Bid Manager will have experience of prime-contracting and the Defence procurement life-cycle. The position requires a military/defence background with experience of leading bid teams on large scale programmes and an understanding of the consultancy marketplaces, gained within a consultancy environment.
Key Skills:
Experienced in multiple full project lifecycles from concept to delivery.
Well versed in contract and commercial issues including compliance, quality, pricing, procurement and sub contracting.
Familiarity with a variety of the technical and business strategy concepts, practices and procedures.
Strong technical background and understanding of key technical constraints and concepts.
A strong academic background is required, ideally degree level, preferably in Engineering or Science subject.
The Bid Manager will have the ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team of highly skilled and dynamic individuals to deliver solutions to complex and challenging problems, will be diplomatic with well honed interpersonal skills and proficient in the use of PC based office packages and expert in the use of tools to support Project Scheduling.
