Background
Our client a leading Defence Communications organisation is looking for a Supply Chain Improvement Manager to support the Procurement Organisation helping to develop the Supplier Management skills within the organisation, the processes internally and throughout the external Supply Chain.

Role
·Development of staff and Supply Chain - Training, Development of processes and Mentoring (to include SRM, RMM and Supplier auditing)
·Establish, Create and Embed Sustainable Procurement Policy's throughout the Procurement Organisation and Supply Chain
·Support The Team & Supply Chain through the Implementation on AS9100
·To create and manage suitable KPI's to ensure that Group financial and performance based targets are met. To work with the Operations Efficiency Improvement Team on a program of Continuous Improvement with the aim of creating a World Class, Lean, Agile Supply Chain.

You
You will have a Procurement and/or Quality background and experience within a Manufacturing organisation. You will have experience within a Defence organisation with experience of working with the MOD. You must have experience in Auditing (Internal Process compliance and Supplier Process Management & Development,) Lean Manufacturing (Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving Techniques plus be able to introduce Lean Principles where necessary into the Supply Chain), Supplier Relationship Management, or Sustainable Procurement Policies.
Experience in Six Sigma would be highly desirable
