My client is a small but rapidly growing company specialising in the design and manufacture of airborne surveillance equipment.

Key products are video mission displays, video recorders and video distribution systems used on airborne surveillance aircraft all over the world. My client is now looking for a Project Manager to handle a number of existing projects and to get involved with responding to enquiries from existing and potential customers. It is important that the Project Manager has a good engineering background so that day to day enquiries can be handled directly. The job will include liaising with existing and new customers regarding aircraft related equipment & systems sales to both end users and OEM's mainly in UK and Continental Europe but with occasional activity in the USA and other parts of the world. Respond to customer technical requirements and suggest the clients products that can meet these requirements. Close liaison with customers and the capability to feed back clearly defined requirements to internal production and engineering teams. Project management and customer communication from receiving a customer order through to delivery of the end product. Host customer visits to the company. Provide support to the Technical director and provide product documentation updates.

This is very much a hands on role in a small company.

The candidate Excellent organisational skills. Confident & good telephone manner. Must be able to travel and hold UK driving licence.

Must have video or avionics experience.
