Project Manager - Defence Aircraft

A central government defence organisation requires a Project Manager with military aircraft knowledge for a 10 month contract based at Abbey Wood, Bristol.

The Project Manager will be responsible for project managing, obtaining, coordinating and drafting information and documentation for the BAE aircraft project to ensure getting the aircraft into operation.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

Project Management Planning to ensure operational development of military aircraft
Maintaining Risk & Opportunities Management Plan and Risk Log
Governance schedule, including organization of reviews and preparation of review packs
Liaising with Design and maintenance organizations at Hawker Beechcraft, Chester and BAE SYSTEMS Prestwick to gain relevant data and information in support of the deliverable plans and documents
Ensuring to programme and project milestones are met
Closeout and handover plan to the Customer The Project Manager will have experience of:

Project management experience
Military / Defence aircraft engineering
Aircraft procurement
