Senior Systems Engineer

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for Systems Engineering on the product line. The successful candidate will have proven experience performing a Systems Engineering function on similar products (UGV or ROV). The role will suit innovative candidates with an engineering, science or maths degree. Good analytical skills and a broad knowledge of new technologies are required. They will work in conjunction with other engineering disciplines to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Responsibility:
Interpreting and converting customer requirement into Specifications.
System Design Authority for Programs.
Defining high level architecture for new programs.
- System Requirements Specifications
- System Design Specifications
Defining Test and Acceptance Specifications, ensuring appropriate levels of compliance are targeted and achieved for UK ES Product.
Feasibility studies, including mathematical modelling and simulation.
Working with Project Managers to manage technical scope for new projects
Work closely with the R+D function to ensure R+D projects are supported with the appropriate technical expertise and are aligned with the Product Roadmaps.
Identification and proposal of novel approaches to solve engineering problems.
Ensuring appropriate technical documentation is produced Development of Safety Critical Engineering programs.
Troubleshoot and improve existing products.
Undertake any other reasonable task required by the Line Manager.

Knowledge and Qualifications:
Degree in Maths, Science or an Engineering Subject with proven experience in a similar role.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
Ethernet/USb/Wireless implementations. Safety Critical Systems. Motor Control. UGV, ROV Systems. Automonous systems, Romote control systems.

Key Performance indicatiors (KPIs):
Delivering on time. Minimal Change Requests following release to production.
