Social Enterprise Manager

Our Central Government Client is currently looking for a Social Enterprise Manager to be based in Warrington on an initial 2 month contract. This is an immediate requirement.
This role will involve acting as a policy lead for the current CFO Social Enterprise Consortia Building Programme which sits in the £7m Technical Assistance Funding stream. The role necessitates someone both with a high level of understanding of the emerging social enterprise agenda and expertise with regard to management and administration of European Social Fund (ESF) monies. ESF Division has allocated money to fund development of social enterprise solutions for employment and wraparound services for offenders.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities
The ESF monies are released against a pre-determined profile. In order to match this profile and of course progress the agenda, the department announced in November 2011 a large scale social enterprise procurement round with contract mobilisation dates of mid 2012. The procurement round includes a programme of training events for the SE sector, 8 provider matching events and a range of other capacity building measures, an initial Invitation to Tender and Best And Final Offer stage, as well as two dialogue stages (one competitive). The bulk of this activity takes place during the period April - June 2012. Contracts for delivery will be for 2 years.
