The UK's largest national courier home delivery and fulfilment company are currently recruiting for two Night Shift Supervisors, to assist the Operations Manager at a brand new distribution site in Cheshire.
Working alongside another Night Supervisor, you will assist the Operations Manager with the overall management and performance of the operation.

Responsibilities:

 Planning and organizing shift staff to achieve operational service levels
 Control and monitor resources to achieve desired productivity levels
 Manage and control all H&S issues by adherence to company guidelines
 Develop and maintain good channels of communication with all other areas of the business
 Monitor and control sickness and absence levels
 Training deputies to cover for any periods of absence
 Develop a culture of continuous improvement
 Monitor and control all variable costs, eg agency and overtime
 Developing a culture of continuous improvement

Candidate Requirements

 People management experience, preferably gained within transport/logistics shift environment
 Computer literate – working knowledge of both Word and Excel
 Numerate, and with excellent communication skills
 Ability and experience to deputise for Depot Manager
 Positive outlook – lateral thinker – team player - motivator
