Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Duration: 6 months
Location: North London
Rate: Market Rates
My client (a leading social housing company) is seeking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to work on a contract that is initially scheduled for 6 months.
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional to actively advise, promote and provide effective management of health and safety matters in all respects of our business. The successful candidate will organise and deliver health & safety training, and ensure that the organisation meets it statutory duties for property maintenance and management. You will be responsible for emergency planning and liaison with the Health and Safety Executive, LFEPA and similar enforcement bodies, and oversee the activities of our asbestos management team.
We will require a candidate with a practical track record of experience gained from working in a construction or social housing related Health & Safety field and have a robust knowledge of how health, safety and environmental legislation impacts on a housing department. The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma and be a Chartered membership of IOSH.
To succeed in this role the candidate will need to be technically competent and familiar with providing and procuring CDM-C services. You will require good written and oral communication skills and be able to use these in your day to day dealings, and the implementation and monitoring of the health and safety plan.
