UPS Service Engineer covering the South of England

My Client is a leading provider of critical power and cooling services for IT.

They specialise in the design, installation, maintenance and optimisation of physical IT infrastructure and utility services.

Whether it's a small server room or a complete data centre build they have the necessary expertise to meet the IT power and cooling challenge, delivering support at the very heart of a customer's IT technology including racks, distribution, security, environmental monitoring, UPS (or Uninterruptable Power Supplies) structured cabling, fire protection and management.

They currently have a requirement for a UPS field service engineer based in the south of England.

You will be confident, capable of working on own initiative but having a team member mentality.

Electrically and/or electronically qualified

A number of years working as a UPS engineer with a desire to expand their knowledge base

Capable of applying themselves to a small single phase unit up to large redundant 3 phase units along with associated monitoring etc

With a logical approach to fault finding and reporting

Understanding of data/server room working

Able to relate to those around them whether colleagues or clients

Willing to work flexible hours and become part of a 24hour on call system

Accurate and prompt at report writing
Full driving licence
Good customer relations and understanding
Able to move heavy equipment
Computer literate
