Severn Trent Water is recruiting for a Senior Catchment Management Planner working in Birmingham and moving to Coventry in August 2010.

You will be responsible for:
•Providing the interface between internal and external stakeholders to reduce the risk of pollution in the catchments of STWL's licensed water sources
•Project management and co-ordination of internal and external resources required to deliver the 47 NEP catchment investigations in AMP5;
•Managing the maintenance and updating of catchment risk assessments that support the companies County Drinking Water Safety Plans (DWSPs).
•Providing support and expertise in the area of Catchment Management to the business.

To be considered for this position you need:
•Qualified in science / earth sciences or environmental management
•A proven track record in soil science, water quality, hydrology or hydrogeology
•Good levels of knowledge and understanding of the legislation influencing water resources, diffuse pollution sources and pathways and applications of numerical / contaminant modelling.
•Multi faceted Project Management

Previous experience of working with the Environment Agency and or Natural England is an advantage.
