Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer for a public sector body within the City Centre of Leeds. This role is a great opportunity for you to progress your career in the field of administration. For this role you must possess the following:
The job role of a Housing Officer
" The Housing Support Officer will be responsible in assisting the Area Manager for all aspects of a generic management service to a specified number of tenants within a patch of the neighbourhood including responsibility for the local environment.
" To work as an effective member of a team.
" To help deliver excellent services to tenants and other customers and meet key performance targets.
" To fully support tenants in all aspects of Housing Management as prevention to enforcement action, but consistently enforce Tenancy Conditions where support has not lead to any improvement in the situation.

Skills & Background to become a Housing Officer
" To be able to work using own initiatives, make decisions and prioritise own workload
" The ability to investigate and report a range of issues within a defined area of work
" To contribute to a safe and sustainable community
" Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and Children Act 1990
" Current Housing issues, policies and procedures and local strategies and initiatives
" A background of attending residents meetings or similar public meetings
" A background of dealing with other agencies to ensure services are carried out effectively
" To give support with the management and control of any devolved budgets
" To show commitment to self and team development
" Willing to work flexible hours including evening work

In return for your skills and experience you will have the earning potential of up to £13ph, and this temporary role is envisaged to be for a three month period.
