With more than 10 million customers around the world, our client operates in the emerging Life Assistance market. Their product portfolio provides customers with support and protection for what's important to them, including their plastic cards, mobile phones, keys and identities. An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced HR Advisor/Human Resources Generalist to join their team.
For this role our client is looking to recruit a high calibre HR professional with a background in employee relations to provide HR advice and guidance to the company's managers and employees.
As the HR Advisor/Human Resources Generalist you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional HR service that impacts bottom line results, and improves performance throughout the business. This role is mainly based in the Chesterfield office, though travel (up to 1-2 days a week) to the York office will be required. Travel expenses will be paid.
Day to day, you will support issues relating to recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, attendance, maternity and grievance, as well as employee relations.
You will also: - Coach managers to use HR policies and processes by supporting them and delivering workshops - Develop and analyse relevant management information
To be considered for this position you must have a solid HR generalist background. This must include experience of providing advice to management on HR issues such as employee relations, disciplinary procedures, absence etc.
In addition to your knowledge of employment and discrimination law, as the HR Advisor/Human Resources Generalist you should also have the ability to create, analyse and present key management information. A proactive, positive and innovative style is also required.
A CIPD qualification would be beneficial to your application, as would previous experience in a contact centre environment or in financial services, but these are by no means essential.
