Excellent opportunity has arisen to join an Engineering/Manufacturing company as an
HR Advisor.
To support the Group Human Resources Manager to provide a professional and efficient Human Resources service to the whole of the Group.
able to advise Managers concerning basic employment law, company policies and procedures.
assist Group HR Manager with everyday duties assist/deal with performance management issues liaise and negotiate with recruitment agencies on fees and terms.
provide support with recruitment process including interviewing -
monthly preparation of payroll via HR system for processing by accounts dept-calculate joiners and leavers pay
gain knowledge of all company procedures and policies within the group-conduct exit interviews for leavers
travel to other companies in the UK within the Group
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES -
compilation of: offer letters and Contracts of Employment
researching and compiling information for policy update
creation of and updating job descriptions up and delivery of induction to new employees
gain working knowledge of Time and Attendance issues via HR Database-organising annual appraisal process ie paperwork/diaries across the group-organising and arranging recruitment process
ensure electronic up to date details of employees across the group are kept answering the telephone both internally and externally and dealing with as appropriate
ad hoc duties ie photocopying, filing etc
PERSONAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES:- naturally calm and confident under pressure
meticulous attention to detail
highly confidential
able to adapt positively to reactive situations
excellent telephone manner and communication skills - project a 'can do' professional attitude. Ability to use initiative and make decisions
proven HR knowledge and skill - minimum of 4 years in a similar position-good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
Engineering/Manufacturing background desirable but not essential Part-qualified/qualified desirable but not essential
Hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
