The Background

Leading technology organisation is currently seeking to recruit an eLearning Instructional Designer to drive the design of eLearning and Blended Learning solutions and applications for their portfolio of clients. You can either be based at Bristol or Southampton, as these are the geographical hot spots of their client group.

The Responsibilities

Working within a large support team and reporting directly to the Head of Instructional Design, you will be responsible for:

Using existing Instructional Design theory to create storyboards, scripts and course content (including standard e-Learning, software simulations and blended learning)

Estimating and proposing on scope of design and development tasks for the purpose of project planning and prioritisation

Conducting quality assurance and user acceptance testing on all training materials created, including loading, testing, and evaluating programs

Researching, evaluating, and recommending solutions to improve product functionality and impact

The Professional

You will have a proven track record in the design and development of eLearning and Blended Learning solutions as an Instructional Designer. Ideally degree educated or equivalent, you will have an excellent understanding of transferring classroom based training to online solutions and will have the ability to instructionally design, storyboard and manage business and technology documentation. As the position will involve some elements of graphic design, you will also have an understanding of PhotoShop and PowerPoint.
