My client requires someone to join them on a contract bases for 6 months. Joining as an essential member of the HR team you will be responsible for a variety of duties which will include –
Assist in the provision of a comprehensive HR service including acting as a coaching and reference point for HR team on complex cases and employment law issues.
Proactively manage the investigation of disciplinary, grievance and capability issues advising managers on the best course of action
Work in partnership with the line managers to manage performance issues and to co-ordinate recruitment.
Suitable candidates must have CIPD qualification or equivalent and have substantial generalist HR experience. TUPE and redundancy experience beneficial although not essential.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a hardworking attitude, the ability to work as a team player and remain calm under pressure.
Travel will be expected to London and Home Counties.
Special Requirements:
Experienced and fully competent in Employee Relations, Absence Management, Recruitment, Disciplinary and Grievances and preferably TUPE. Need to be able to proactively partner with the business, build successful relationships with line managers and drive the HR agenda. This is an ‘operational’ HR role with only minimal strategic involvement. You must be able to handle a high volume/range of case loads. You must be able to demonstrate experience of supporting multi-site operations and the ability to handle a busy caseload. Experience gained or understanding of the social care or housing sector will be an advantage.
