Career Coach / In-Work Advisor

Allstaff Recruitment is recruiting for a Career Coach / In-work Advisor for a well established training provider.

Location – Chatham
Salary - £24,000 - £26,000

Purpose of role:
Work with customers to support their transition into employment and continued sustainment once they have entered into a job.

Duties:
• Identify customer in work support needs, and manage the customer journey once they have started a job
• Develop a personalised in work support package for each customer, detailing the level and nature of support required
• Contact and meet with customers to risk-assess the customer’s ability to stay in work; determine likely barriers to sustaining work
• Develop an effective plan for customers to develop a career
• Focus the customer on achieving a positive outcome, understanding aspirations and managing objections/barriers
• Support customers as required in job focused activities to enable them to maintain employment
• Manage an effective caseload to time, positive outcome and quality standards and targets
• Manage your budget inline with targets

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
• Experience of working in a customer facing targeted role preferably recruitment
• Experience in mentoring and influencing customers
• Knowledge of the local labour market and work based learning / training and national trends and developments
• Ability to identify and communicate career / employment advice
• Proven ability to motivate and engage with challenging customers
• Results focused, able to deliver and exceed targets
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including language skills representative of the local community desirable
• Ability to inspire customers to maintain motivation and achieve their goals
