The position for HR Officer in Southend-on-Sea is no longer available
Our client is an established engineering manufacturer based in the Southend on Sea area and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced HR Assistant to work within their dedicated Human Resources Team.
Key duties will include ensuring the Performance Review process is carried out in a timely manner and coach reviewers as necessary; assist managers in identifying high achievers/underperforming staff and establish development and/or support programmes as appropriate and to develop and support sandwich, industrial and graduate programmes
Other tasks will involve supporting and advising supervisors and managers in carrying out company procedures eg. Disciplinary and Grievance and support the administration of the payroll system relating to employees commencing/terminating employment, calculation and completion of employee annual leave forms and ad hoc enquiries from outside agencies
You will support the processing of payroll for both weekly and monthly paid staff and be responsible for the maintenance of the HR database and filing systems.
You will also be required to assist in the recruitment and selection process and for the drafting, issuing and maintenance of all personnel related data and maintain company pensions, healthcare and life assurance schemes. You will also assist in promoting the company to colleges, schools and training organisations
Candidates must be part CIPD qualified
The hours will be Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1.30pm (37.5 hours per week).
