Job Title: Project Manager - HVAC
Department: Project Manager in the HVAC Project Field.
Reporting to: Area M&E Manager.
As part of our continuing growth, we are currently looking for an experienced HVAC services project manager, with proven ability for the responsibility of varied building services projects from initial enquiry through to the practical completion, including the planning, procuring and
organising of labour, materials and plant activities to meet our exacting clients requirements, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, quality, legal and health & safety standards.
The successful candidate will report into the Area M&E Manager.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Day to day management of building services & Retail projects
Procurement & organisation of labour & materials onto site
Financial responsibility for building services projects
Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met for building services projects
Close liaison with other areas of the M&E team, including Design, Estimating and
Cost Management.
Ensuring customer satisfaction on building services projects, and acting as key contact in the local area, working in conjunction with the M&E Area Manager.
Key skills and experience required:
Recognised industry qualifications.
Proven project manager.
Financial acumen and proven ability to manage a budget, ensuring profitability.
Able to communicate at all levels, internally and with customers.
IT proficient - all key Office products, including Excel to at least intermediate level.

General Purpose:
To manage the process of the technical selection, installation and commissioning of energy saving technology, into existing heating ventilation and air conditioning systems within large commercial buildings operated by the UKs blue chip & retail organisations.
Main Duties
Provide technical selection of fans, motors, frequency inverters, belt & direct drive arrangements and peripheral components required to achieve the estimated performance and energy savings.
Attend UK wide site pre-install meetings with clients and mechanical/electrical subcontractors.
Raise materials, labour purchase orders and schedule deliveries and ensure that they are within the allocated budget.
Prepare project specific method statements and risk assessments to ensure sub-contractors undertake installation in accordance with our clients Policies.
Obtain supplier quotations for project materials and labour and ensure correct materials and quantities are delivered timely and to the correct location.
Resolve any technical issues to the clients satisfaction.
Record any project non-conformances, proposing amendments to the companies ISO 9001 continuous improvement policy.
Obtain commissioning results and project sign-off and prepare project completion packs and instruct customer invoicing.
Carry out on-site HVAC system energy audits for the UKs Blue Chip & retail organisations.
Person Specification
Must be well organised, able to manage own time and resource efficiently.
Good relationship builder and must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to converse technically and confidently at all levels.
Must possess an innovative flair in providing solutions and problem solving.
Must have the ability to make decisions whilst being responsive to change.
Must be results driven and ability to work in a pressurised environment in order to meet tight deadlines.
Other requirement to the post
You will be required to visit sites to carry out work in confined spaces.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
Building Services and/or Refrigeration HNC, HND or degree.
BEMS/controls and Electrical (low voltage) knowledge/experience.
Computer Added Design (CAD) and Microsoft Project experience.
Must have either a minimum of 5 years installation and/or applications engineering experience in the industrial/commercial HVAC sector or alternatively, 3 years experience (as above) with related qualification.
Hold a full UK driving licence as typically role requires 2 site visits per week.
