Job Description
* Identify business opportunities – single or multi-site to fit the Asquith brand
* Formulate and deliver the strategic acquisition and property plan for Asquith
* Project manage implementation of opportunities from ‘cradle to grave’ within budget and to the specifications agreed
* Managing, negotiating and renewing contracts with suppliers, examining price lists, samples as well as drawing up contracts with new suppliers
* Project manage where appropriate existing portfolio investment projects on time and within budget
* Check drawings and produce material cost schedules and budgets
* Manage suppliers performance issues too ensure quality levels are kept continually high
* Facilitate the re-negotiation of existing contracts, making amendments to contractual documents
* Management of buying reports
* Development of the departments processes and procedures to ensure effective procurement
* Co-ordination with the Operational and function support teams to deliver the project
* Evaluate and present opportunities to the Executive team and Board
The Person
* Must have an understanding of D1 property use
* Extensive experience of similar roles and track record of delivery of single or multi-site acquisitions
* Relevant qualifications are a pre-requisite
* Determination and drive to succeed
* Trusted decision maker and highly commercial, numerate and complete property legal understanding
* Customer service led approach
* Strategic in outlook but detailed in knowledge and application
* Ability to travel extensively across the UK
