Description		Job Title � Network Management Systems Consultant Location � SE England/M4 Corridor area Salary - �30k - �55k + benefits (depending on experience) Alternative Job Titles � Network Consultant, Management Engineer, Principal Engineer Company Details � Our client is a Management and Technical Consultancy for Communications Networks and combines world-class expertise in the commercial, technical and operational management of complex networks in government, military and commercial markets. They offer experienced management skills acquired from many years working in and with global technology companies across terrestrial, radio and satellite based networks. Job Role � The Network Management Consultant will provide systems engineering support to military, cellular and fixed telecom providers in the specification, procurement, design, implementation and testing of Network and Service Management Systems for satellite, mobile and fixed telecom operators. The Network Management Consultant will work with network management system suppliers or integrators to ensure the solution meets business needs. Solution/Architectural design and analysis of network management system software and identification/resolution of technical issues. Essential Skills � Educated to degree level or equivalent in communications, computing or engineering related subject. Telecommunications or IT Network Management System Development and integration. Familiar with military and /or commercial security communication issues. Understanding of IP based protocols and real-time communications. TMF, FCAPS, Security issues for Network Management Systems in commercial and/or military environment. Familiar with TMF, TOM and eTOM principals. Experience in design/ modelling if Voice, IP, management protocols, satellite & military communications systems. Desirable Skills � Security Cleared, Netcool/Tivoli Network Management tool set. SLA specification and/or design quality of service measurement systems. Service and IT Application Management Systems. Specification and /or development of end to end service management systems. MoD Skynet-5 project knowledge, Billing and Provisioning.
