Description UNIX Support Engineer – Mobile Telecoms – South West – Permanent

A mobile telecoms company located in the West of England are currently recruiting for a UNIX support engineer, this is a permanent position, salary and benefits will be discussed on application.

You will work as an engineer in the Intelligent Network support team and provide technical knowledge on specified systems and technologies. The daily responsibilities of the role include fault investigation and resolution to provide operational acceptance requirements to ensure successful project delivery and to help manage 3rd line support vendor activities.

You must have excellent UNIS skills to be considered for this role. A background in telecoms would be advantageous and knowledge of IP Technologies, SS7 and SQL would also be a benefit but training will be provided and this role offers excellent opportunity for career progression.

After 3 months in the position you will be required to participate in an on call rota, this will be approximately one week in five and you will be compensated accordingly.
