Description

Senior Voice Network Engineer (Banking) - London. A Senior Voice Network Engineer is required to work on a critical network infrastructure where you will be responsible for the operations of network infrastructures used to deliver standard Voice and VOIP services, you will also be responsible for 2 nd and 3 rd level support for major incidents and will act as a lead technical expert and liaise with implementation and engineering team s. You will be responsible for incident resolution and management, 2nd and 3rd level incident support, performing diagnostics and corrective actions, vulnerability management and providing post incident and problem management. You will also be responsible for the delivery of a best of class service, design assurance (conduct thorough reviews of proposed solutions against global standards, ensure that proposals are engineered to fit client needs for all levels of resiliency), provide proactive maintenance and proactive and reactive analysis including remediation of performance issues. You will also provide 2nd and 3rd level support for major incidents based on a 24x7 on-call schedule and guide and mentor junior engineers. You will need to have an extensive knowledge of voice networking theory and practical applications gained in an Investment banking environment , a w orking knowledge of Network Management systems and a strong knowledge of Avaya PBX and voice mail systems, Avaya VOIP networks and equipment and Call Centre voice networks. You will need to have a minimum of ten years professional experience with at least five years supporting tier-one global financial organisations with excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on resolution of complex technical problems and a demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex systems. You will also need to have strong leadership skills with the ability to focus and perform in time-sensitive high-pressure environment and have excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal, written communication skills and excellent listening skills.
