COMPANY:
Our client celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. They are a department of the University of Cambridge, and a not-for-profit organisation. They are experts in assessment and are Europe's largest assessment agency incorporating three major exam boards and a suite of supporting services.
ROLE:
They are now looking for a temporary Training Administration Assistant to join their busy HR team immediately with a view to a permanent position. They are looking for a real team player with a ‘can do' attitude as you will be supporting not only the training function, but the HR consultants and client divisions.
You will need to have the ability to make day to day decisions on your own and without supervision, including managing your own workload and must be able to handle confidential data with discretion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To book venues and catering for corporate training events.
b) Arranging internal and external training courses and co-ordinating health and safety workshops alongside the Health and Safety Administrator.
c) Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of training resources and managing the lending service by keeping accurate records and ensuring the safe return of resources.
d) Maintenance of the Training and Development database.
e) Management of staff requests for training and preparing material for staff induction packs.
f) This role requires that a high level of customer care is maintained in all communication with training and development clients.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) You will be educated to at least GCSE standard.
b) Previous experience working within an office environment with proven IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and internet).
c) You will be required to have good verbal and written communication skills, with a good eye for detail.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Current experience of event organising, including sourcing and booking venues, arranging invitations and managing events would be advantageous, but not essential.
