My client is a major electronics company based in Hampshire supplying to the leisure and commercial industry. They are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst for a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to possible becoming permanent after that period. This is a new position with the company.
Requirements:-
You must have experience looking at Product Life Cycle/s from inception to retirement
Experience of forecasting customer demand and involvement with inventory management
Experience of analysing Product Retirement, Obsolescence, Excess stock; and how to reduce this
A strong an Analytical approach to decision making is essential
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) within a business discipline
Experience working in a company who outsource some or all of their manufacturing
Strong Commercial and Business acumen
Good Negotiation Skills
Sound knowledge of MRP and a good working knowledge of ERP systems
Working knowledge of New Product Introduction process
Experience looking at how and when to retire a product
Experience developing cost analysis models with associated metrics for product life cycle
Proven background in forecasting, demand planning and analysis of reports/data, Trend analysis
The Role:-
Our client has identified some issues with regards to product retirement and levels of excess.
They are a low volume manufacturer with a high product range which they are looking to reduce going forward
Manage Product and Materials within the retirement framework process
Continuously improve the retirement process and reduce excess
Develop and provide analysis cost models with associated metrics.
Deliver flow of materials to support new product introduction and reduce obsolescence
Planning stock balancing recommendations
Recommend with data driven costing models, SKU reduction and reduced inventory levels plans
Build strong relationships with manufacturing services and 3rd Party providers
Maintain and regularly review retirement plans
Circa £30’000 + per annum
UK travel and possibly occasional overseas travel as required
Hours 8.15 - 5.00 p.m. - Monday to Thursday 8.15 - 1.00 p.m. - Friday
