Residential Support Worker

I am currently recruiting for a Residential Support Worker to work in a children's Home based in Wolsingham, Co Durham.

The successful candidate will have:
Experience of working with young people in a support worker role.
NVQ Level 2 in Childcare
Experience of managing Challenging Behaviours in adolescents.
Flexible for working Sleep over shifts
Driver with a category 'B' licence

The responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the promotion of good childcare practice

Provide care for the young residents

Assist in the administration and management of the home

To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job
Liaising with relatives, other significant people and outside agencies

Forming relationships with children/young people which will facilitate the care and assessment process and encourage them to participate fully in the opportunities offered by the home.

In return is a salary of £15400 - £22000 depending on experience.
