Description		Project Planner / Construction Planner A world-leading construction contractor currently seeks a Planning Engineer to work on a prestigious portfolio of construction projects in London and the South East. Who would I be working for? My client are a market-leading construction contractor with major operations throughout Europe and the World. They currently have an incredible portfolio of work, including several projects of major historical significance in mainland Europe, various National Stadiums and other large-scale design and build developments. With ambitious goals for the next three years, my client are aiming to increase their workforce by a further 15,000 employees in 2007 and increase the UK arm of their operations. Concentrating on major PFI and residential/commercial schemes, their aim is to be a top 3 building contractor within the UK by 2012. What would I be required to do? Due to expansion and new project wins, my client currently seek a Construction Planner to join their Central London-based team. You will be working closely with a dedicated team of fellow Planners, using your strong knowledge of construction processes to complete major projects on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining fully resource and cost-loaded plans, progress monitoring, critical path analysis, liaising with sub contractors, clients and senior management and WBS. Ideally, you will have the following: - Significant planning experience, some of which must have been on building projects. - Proficient with Primavera P3 or Asta PowerProject. - Familiar with construction processes in the UK and have experience of working on projects from conception through to completion. - Must be a team player and possess excellent communication skills. - Ideally a relevant degree in a construction/building discipline. - Eligible to work in the UK.
