Description My Client is a large Housing Association based in West Berkshire with a current requirement for an interim General Manager for its Direct Works Division.

This position will entail managing a number of managers and supervisors, admin and trades staff. The department is responsible for response repairs such as building, plumbing, heating etc, voids and decent homes works such as replacing kitchens, bathrooms etc. There are currently refurbishment and regeneration works being carried out to several thousand properties.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all health & safety policies are adhered to, carrying out one-to-one meetings and PPE compliance.

You will have previous experience of managing trades and responsive maintenance at a senior level within a social housing provider or local authority. You will ideally be qualified to degree level or similar.
