Description Our client is a national Mechanical & Electrical business services provider.

They currently have a position for a Maintenance Team Supervisor to work on their contract based in Speke.

Duties within this role involve:

• Managing and to co-ordinating the work load of the on site maintenance team
• Providing the helpdesk with progress of jobs issued and completed and to act as a link between SMH & area managers on permit to work issues.
• Receiving work requests from helpdesk on a daily basis and allocate work accordingly to maintenance team.
• Updating helpdesk with progress of jobs reports, advising of when jobs are completed or need extended.
• Make sure issued work is completed to the relevant SMH KPIs
• Producing weekly and monthly reports to SMH managers detailing the progress of helpdesk requests and in particular outstanding requests and PPM status.
• To make sure that ‘one minute risk assessments ‘are being carried out as part of helpdesk requests.
• Time management of the maintenance team.
• Arrange cover for maintenance staff when on holiday / cover role as required.
• Issue permits to work relevant to maintenance work and any other permits as requested by SMH mgt.
• Supervision of contractors carrying out the works
• Obtaining all relevant area manager signatures for permit sign off.
• To assist SMH managers in supervision of any contractors under their control.
• Ordering all relevant materials/ spares and tools required/ needed for maintenance team to carry out their day to day work.
• Keep maintenance store rooms in a clean and tidy manner.
• To carry out HSE inspections in conjunction with SMH mgt and to carry out toolbox talks

Experience of running and supervising maintenance teams
Good all-round knowledge of building services and maintenance based trades.
Used to working with contractors and have the ability to prioritise workloads of team

Experience of running maintenance teams, good building services knowledge and all round experience of building trades with the experience of carrying out risk assessments and writing method statements will be essential

Health & Safety Qualification is essential; IOSH/ NEBOSH will be desirable
