Description		Technical Engineer required for a Leading Ventilation Manufacturer based in Southampton. My client is a privately owned Manufacturing company concerned with the design, manufacture and supply of heating, ventilation and air handling units. Established in 1968, the company employs 250 people and has an annual turnover of 15.0 million. They specialise in Ventilation products for the public, commercial and industrial. These include: Air handling units, Duct Mounting Fans, Roof Extract Units, Twin Fan Units, Control Panels, High Temperature Fans, Silencers and Condensing Units. There are currently 24 product lines and research and development for new products are being introduced all the time. One of the great strengths of this company is that they design and build non-standard equipment to suit their clients and customers requirements. The HVAC Team refurbish and upgrade ventilation plant and systems; retrofit cooling coils, silencers, etc.; rework systems that no longer work; flat pack install new ventilation equipment in difficult locations. The role will primarily be assisting with smooth management of contracts and special projects, seeing larger projects through the company form order stage thought to dispatch and co-ordinating with all departments. You will be assisting with technical back up to sales, site services, service department and development of existing products. Main Responsibilities 1. To assist the managing of large and special projects from pre-order through to dispatch to ensure specification compliance, technical correctness & are delivered correctly on time. 2. To occasionally prepare quotations for their products of a more complex & technical nature. 3. Helping to solve technical issues both internally and externally. 4. To assist in maintaining technical training records for all staff that require it to perform their duties & to ensure they receive the technical training required. 5. To Work with QA & service to improve product quality and procedures throughout the company. 6. Address technical service problems to prevent re-occurrence 7. To provide technical back up to the Sales/Site Services and service departments. 8. Giving support, technical and professional advice to colleagues. 9. To gain & maintain knowledge of the Axapta CRM side & to use the complete capabilities of Axapta and keep up to date with IT technology. 10. To comply with the companies & technical teams Health and Safety policy. 11. To occasionally work overtime (paid at normal company rates) to make sure the department gets through its essential workload.
