Claims Director/Expert Witness - to lead a new office in Netherlands

Remuneration:
Circa £90,000 - £120,000 per annum + benefits
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience

My Client:
My client is an international Claims Consultancy with over 250 offices in over 40 countries world wide. My client is expanding their main land European operations by opening an office in the Netherlands thus continuing to seek new opportunities and to expand their presence in Europe which will offer better support to their clients needs.

The Role:
My client requires a Claims Director/Expert Witness to lead their team in Netherlands and to prepare, present and negotiate tenders for projects ranging from £1 million to £700 million in the UK and internationally.

Job Duties:
- Experience in the presentation and negotiations of claims for heavy Engineering projects internationally and within the UK.
- Compile and present loss and expense claims as well as project management and planning for construction work including critical path analysis.
- Dispute Resolution and acceleration claims. .
- Management of surveyors/engineers in the preparation of claims.
- Consultant & advocate when in adjudication
- Consultant or advocate in mediation
- Expert Witness experience is desirable.
- Experience in International Arbitrations

Experience Required:
- Ideally Chartered QS or Civil Engineering background
- Experience as a senior operational positions either in a Main
- Contracting or a specialist claims consultancy with legal affiliations
- Preferably Legal Qualifications or a legal affiliation
- Experience of Business Development with a background of a proven fee earner in excess of 300k within mainland Europe.
- Ideally acted as an Expert Witness International & UK arbitrations or indeed UK based Adjudications.
- 15 + experience dealing with Commercial Claims
- Claims Experience within the Netherlands is advantageous.
