Our Client is an established Construction Company with several offices throughout the UK.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Senior M&E Services Engineer.
The role involves Managing the M&E installation carried out by sub-contractors on a wide remit of work including sports facilities (our client is involved with the Olympic Site for instance), Commercial Office Buildings, Retail Buildings, Shopping Malls, Museums, Galleries, Schools and high-spec Residential Developments.
You will be required to take an overseeing role, ensuring the M&E component on your allocated Projects is Installed and completed to budget and timescale. You will be answerable to the Overall Project Manager on each job who will be from a Construction Background.
The remit of work covers the Eastern side of the UK, which includes Essex, Hertfordshire, North London and Cambridgeshire.
You should be from a Management Contractor or Main Contractor background, although you may well have started your career with a sub-contractor. Your Management ability should be second-to-none, and you should be able to liaise confidently through the supply-chain, and be equally at home dealing with a sub-contractor overseeing a small Ductwork Package (for example), as dealing with a Client such as the Olympic Delivery Authority.
The role will be predominantly based on site, with periodic visits to the Client's head office. Ideally, you should be located somewhere just North of London whereby you are able to get to Projects based North of the Thames, as well as in East Anglia, Herts. and Essex.
You may be either electrically or mechanically-biased, but you must have well-rounded M&E knowledge.
This company has an excellent reputation and a low turnover of staff. This is genuinely an excellent opportunity to take a lead role on some exciting Projects. It is a key role for our client, and as Senior M&E Engineer you will work fairly autonomously.
The package on offer is up to �55K P/A Salary plus Car (or Car Allowance), plus normal Benefits.
It is very important to our client that they recruit someone who, in addition to the technical and managerial qualities described above, has substantial drive and self-motivation.
