A vacancy has arisen for a Project Planner working for their Living Space group based in Luton. They are looking for a senior planner, looking after the whole of the Living Space Northern Home Counties business and also covering business control.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the functional leadership and management of planning activities on a group of projects within a region or product stream, from pre-qualification to completion. They will work with other Planners and Managers to deliver planning solutions across the group.
This role reports to the Planning or Construction Manager.
Key Accountabilities include:
Management of planning function within Business Unit to ensure a consistent and cost effective service is provided
Delivery of competitive and realistic tender and contract programmes
Setting the planning process strategy for all projects and auditing progress throughout the lives of the projects
Establish if the company has the resources to carry out the project successfully.
Assessment of site preliminaries and viable alternatives to give the company a competitive edge.
Ensure project team is fully briefed and issued with copies of Tender Plan and programme at Estimators handover meeting.
Produce and assist site teams with contract programme, master information requirement schedule, buying, design and procurement programmes, monitoring and progress reports, short term programmes, method statements and site information booklet.
Attend trade meetings, pre qualification and tender interviews.

· Strong presentation skills
· Ability to identify complex construction and associated risks/opportunities
· Strong analysis skills
Qualifications
Preferably CIOB or equivalent professional body
CSCS desirable
