Our client has a requirement for a Commercial Manager to lead their Luton based Retail division, taking full responsibility for all commercial activities, including financial performances, bidding, supply chain, procurement, risk management and all legal aspects. The post holder will report to the Business Unit Director.
Key Accountabilities and Deliverables:-
-Recruitment, training and development of all pre and post contract commercial teams
-Commercial strategy within the region
-Risk management within the region
-Implementation of company Commercial Policies
-Cash management and profitability of projects
-Developing relationships with clients/supply chain professional team
Key Tasks
-Maximise profit and cash
-Overall financial, contractual and legal control of regions activities
-Set commercial strategy
-Implement the company’s commercial policies
-Timely settlement of final accounts
-Timely production and settlement of claims and L & E
-Preparation of company financial reports
-Manage dispute resolution
-Form relationships with clients/PQS/Consultants/supply chain/regional staff
-Form partnership with the Regional Commercial Director
-Coach for best practice
-Risk management within the region
-Implement SHE Policy
This role also requires strong customer facing skills as the business operates primarily with repeat clients.
Candidates must be educated to degree standard and have proven experience in a Commercial Management role within the retail sector, ideally with Retail Banking experience.
